The RC (Release Candidate) of Windows 7 will expire on June 1, 2010. But there is a way by which you can use your installation of Windows 7 for 120 more days after the expiry (4months) for free.
- Go to “Run” (Windows key + “R” or “Windows icon” –> Run)
- Open command prompt by typing “cmd” and pressing enter.
- Type “slmgr -rearm” (without quotes) and press enter.
- Each type you “rearm” your “slmgr” (software license manager),, your expiry shifts further by 30 days. You can rearm a total of 3 times, so that gives you 120 days of free and legit Windows 7 usage.
