Last week we told you that Candy.com was sold to G&J Holdings for a sweet $3 miilion. Few days back Toys.com was sold to ToysRU for $5.1 million.

Aren’t you curious to know the top 10 most expensive domain names ever sold? I am sure you are, but just be a little careful if you are a heart patient, cause these domains, which are bought for something like $7-15, are sold for a hefty $x,xxx,xxx amount!

Here is the list of the Top 10 premium domain names which fetched a fortune for their owners.

  1. Sex.com : $14 million! No surprises here. One of the most sought after keywords (Sex/porn) on internet. this will take some time to beat.
  2. Fund.com : Was sold last year, 2008 for almost $10 million.
  3. Porn.com : $9.5 million. It was brokered by Moniker and is the largest ever publicly “all-cash” domain deal ever.
  4. Business.com : Business.com was sold for $7,500,000 in 1999
  5. Diamond.com : Sold for 7.5 million USD
  6. Beer.com : Fetched $7,000,000.
  7. Casino.com : $5.5 million.
  8. Toys.com : Sold for $5.1 million in 2009.
  9. AsSeenOnTV.com : Sold for $5.1 million in 2000
  10. Korea.com : Sold for $5 million in the year 2000.

That means all the domains in our all-time-expensive-domain-list was sold for “at least” $5 million.

Next we have SEO.com for $5 millions, YP.com sold for 3.85 million USD, Wine.com for $3.3 million, CreditCheck.com , Vodka.com, Candy.com, all for $3 million.
